Upon Arrival

Shedding of loose fibers is common in the beginning and fluff may accumulate on the surface of your natural wool rug. Regular vacuuming (see Clean) will help reduce shedding. Please be patient as your rug settles.

Due to the hand-dyeing process of natural wool and bamboo silk, some color inconsistency is normal. Keep in mind that colors on your screen may not accurately reflect the true colors of the rug in real life.

Any initial odor associated with your rug is harmless and will dissipate naturally over time.

Thoughtful placement can significantly extend the lifespan of your rug. Protect your rug from damage by avoiding areas with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and never place your rug on damp floors.

General Up-keep

Hand-tufted rugs, especially those with silk content, may experience minimal thread loss. This is normal and part of the natural wear and tear of the handmade rug.

If you notice any loose threads or yarn, trim them carefully with scissors. Do not pull on them, as this can damage the rug.

To ensure even wear, periodically rotate your rug, especially if it’s placed in high-traffic or high-sunlight areas.

Avoid dragging furniture across the rug, as it can cause damage. Lift and move furniture carefully.

By following these care guidelines, you can ensure the longevity and beauty of your natural wool rug.

Vacuum with a low-power setting and a flat nozzle attachment. Avoid vacuums with a beater bar or rotating brush to prevent damage to the rug.

In case of spills or stains, seek professional cleaning services rather than attempting to clean the rug yourself. Promptly absorb spills with a clean, undyed cloth — avoid rubbing.
